Empowerment Coach Brandi Dawson is living life like its golden. A native of Columbus, GA, Brandi is a sought after speaker, author, personal/business empowerment coach, educator, entrepreneur and consultant. Her company, Liberation Coaching and Consulting, LLC has been empowering individuals and groups since 2004.

Brandi attended Albany State University, and has a B.S. in Psychology and Human Services from Troy State University. Brandi also has graduate studies in Community Counseling. At the ripe old age of 36, Brandi has had over 10 years of experience in mental health, substance abuse, mental retardation, medical research and education. She also has coaching certifications in Health and Wellness, Relationships, Life Coaching, Master Coaching, Special Needs Caregiving Coaching, and Coach Training. She is currently working on a certification in Online Instruction and Teaching English as a Second Language. In 2010, she was recognized as a Mental Health Clinician by the state of Georgia. Brandi has also trained coaches seeking certification with the International Instruction of Coaching Studies.

Coach Brandi is also a proud special needs parent/family member who has not only personal experience, but professional training/experience such as being the former Parent Educator for Babies Can’t Wait, Chairperson for the Local Interagency Coordinating Council, case management in Mental Health and Substance Abuse and Support Coordination for individuals with Developmental Disabilities. She finds joy in assisting with resource connection for her fellow special needs families.

With both of her children attending online public school, Brandi offers academic coaching to students and learning coaches from in a variety to areas (Youth-Adults): Homeschooling, virtual schooling, life-long learning, continuing education, tutoring, etc. In additional, Brandi has taught ESL (English as a Second Language) to over 200 students whose native language is not English.

Brandi has spoken in numerous and various venues. Examples include the Columbus Housing Authority and Tri-City Housing Authority Family Sufficiency Programs, Boys and Girls Clubs, Title One programs, Davis Broadcasting, numerous internet radio interviews, etc. She has written for the Courier Newspaper, Consciousness Magazine, Family and Kids Magazine, and is a featured writer in the Hood Health Handbook Vol. 2. She is also a reoccurring coaching guest on the Dee Armstrong Show.

Brandi’s professional affiliations past and present include the Board of Directions for One Columbus Inc., Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, etc., Order of Eastern Star-PHA, Founding Member: The International Membership of Professional Advisors, Coaches & Trainers (IMPACT), Toastmasters Inc., NAACP, Chairperson: Local Interagency Coordinating Council and many more.

In her spare time, Brandi enjoys spending time with her daughter and son, reading, attending spoken word events, listening to music, experimenting with various vegetarian cuisine, exercising, playing with her dogs Joy and Cleo, working on her fluency in Spanish and beating her addiction to Candy Crush!
